We connect birders with the best trails by combining real-time eBird data with OpenStreetMap hiking trails.
The Problem
Birders and hikers have always relied on separate tools. eBird tells you where birds are, but not which trails to take. Trail apps show you paths, but not what you might spot along the way. TrailBird bridges that gap, showing you exactly which hiking trails are near active birding hotspots, updated daily.
How It Works
Every day, TrailBird pulls the latest observation data from eBird's API for thousands of hotspots across the US. We match each hotspot to nearby hiking trails from OpenStreetMap, so you can see not just where the birds are, but how to get there on foot.
